Google has presented an alternative way of tracking website visitors. The difference between so-called asynchronous tracking compared to the traditional way of tracking is that it offers browsers the ability to execute the Google Analytics JavaScript code (ga.js) quicker.
At the same time, with the new code there are no obstacles in placing it in any part of the HTML document, since it doesn’t affect the downloading of content found below the GA snippet.
The new snippet offers the following benefits:
- Shorter-download times for web pages due to better quality participation with browsers.
- Better and more precise data gathering.
- Errors appearing during JavaScript downloading have been resolved.
In case you’re interested in its implementation (a different syntax from the standard version), Google has published instructions on implementing it on a website.
